In the machining process, the workpiece may be deformed. In order to avoid this situation, the following measures can be considered: Optimize the clamping scheme: Select the correct clamping point so that the clamping force and the support point are consistent to prevent clamping deformation. For longer workpieces, double-point clamping or multi-point clamping should be used to reduce the flexural deformation of the workpiece.
Increase the support point: For large parts, the support point can be increased at the bottom to reduce its flexural deformation. Pre-machining: Pre-machining the initial margin of the blank to reduce the deformation of subsequent processing. Reasonable selection of tools: Correct selection of tools and their geometric parameters can reduce the cutting force and cutting heat, thereby reducing the deformation of the workpiece. For example, the use of sharp tools, large front and back angles, can effectively reduce the cutting force and cutting heat. Improve cutting conditions: reduce the cutting force, improve heat dissipation conditions, such as the use of coolant, can reduce the deformation of the workpiece. Adjust cutting parameters: reasonably adjust the cutting speed, feed and other parameters to reduce the cutting force and cutting heat, thereby reducing the deformation of the workpiece. Calibration method: for the workpiece that has been deformed, it can be corrected by the calibration method to restore its geometry. To sum up, by optimizing the clamping scheme, increasing the support point, pre-machining, reasonable selection of tools, improving the cutting conditions, adjusting the cutting parameters and the calibration method and other measures, the workpiece deformation can be effectively avoided during machining.
