Simple knowledge: the characteristics of gaskets in metal stamping

Metal Stamping gaskets are mostly used in electronic instruments, mold making, precision machinery, hardware parts, mechanical parts, stamping parts, and small hardware production. Mold repair, mold measurement clearance, and when there is shaking, shaking, and instability due to mechanical aging, gaskets can be used to handle machine repair problems. Gaskets play an important role in metal stamping processing. Therefore, no matter what type of gasket, to ensure long-term effective use in harsh operating environments, it must have the following eight important characteristics:

1. Airtightness: Regarding the medium of the sealing system, the gasket does not leak within a certain period of time during the recommended temperature and pressure operation.

2. Compressibility: The contact surface between the gasket and the flange should be able to fit well after the connecting bolt is tightened to ensure sealing.

3. Creep resistance: Under the influence of pressure load and operating temperature, the creep resistance of the gasket should be good, otherwise the bolt torque loss will be formed, resulting in the reduction of the surface stress of the gasket and the leakage of the hard gas system. 4. Anti-chemical corrosion: The gasket selected in the stamping process of hardware should not be corroded by chemical media and cannot contaminate the medium.

5. Resilience: Even when the system is stable, the two flanges connected will definitely have a small displacement due to the influence of temperature and pressure. The elastic function of the gasket should be able to compensate for this displacement to ensure the sealing of the system.

6. Adhesion resistance: The gasket should be easily removed from the flange after use without bonding.

7. Non-corrosive: The gasket should be non-corrosive to the surface of the connected flange.

8. Temperature resistance: The gasket selected should ensure normal operation at the lowest and highest temperatures of the system.
