Physical properties of stainless steel

Compared to carbon steel

1. Density

Ang density ng karbon steel ay bahagyang mas mataas kaysa sa ferritic at martensitic stainless steel, ngunit bahagyang mas mababa kaysa sa austenitic stainless steel;

2. Pagtutol

Ang pagpapataas ng resistivity ay nagpapataas sa pagkakasunod ng bakal karbon, ferritic, martensitic, at austenitic stainless steel;

3. The ranking of the coefficients of linear expansion is similar, with austenitic stainless steel having the highest coefficient and carbon steel having the lowest coefficient;

4. May magnetismo ang bakal ng karbon, ferritic at martensitic stainless steel, habang ang austenitic stainless steel ay walang magnetismo.

Compared with carbon steel, austenitic stainless steel has the following characteristics:

1) Mataas na lakas ng kuryente, halos limang beses ang lakas ng karbon.

2) Ang koeficiente ng linear expansion ay 40% mas mataas kaysa sa koeficiente ng carbon steel, at habang ang temperatura ay nagpapataas, ang halaga ng koeficiente ng linear expansion ay nagpapataas din.
