What does CNC Machining mean?
CNC machining, also known as computer gongs or numerical control machine tools, is actually a name in Hong Kong. Later, it was introduced to the Pearl River Delta in mainland China. In fact, it is a numerical control milling machine. In Jiangsu and Zhejiang, some people call it "machining center". It is an automated machine tool equipped with a program control system. The control system can logically process programs with control codes or other symbolic instructions and decode them to make the machine move and machine parts.
Numerical control machining refers to machining with numerical control tools. CNC refers to the numerical control machine tool programmed by numerical control machining language, usually G code. The G code language of numerical control machining tells the numerical control machine tool what kind of machining tool to use, Cartesian position coordinates, and controls the feed speed and spindle speed of the tool, as well as tool converters, coolants and other functions. Numerical control machining has great advantages over manual tooling, such as numerical control machining produces parts that are very accurate and repeatable; numerical control machining can produce parts with complex shapes that cannot be completed by manual machining. Numerical control machining, technology has now been widely promoted, most machining workshops have numerical control machining capabilities, the most common numerical control machining methods in typical machining workshops are numerical control milling, numerical control turning and numerical control EDM wire cutting (EDM wire cutting). The tools for numerical control milling are called numerical control milling machines or numerical control machining centers. The lathes for numerical control turning are called numerical control turning centers. The numerical control processing G code can be manually programmed, but usually the machine shop uses CAM (Computer-Aided Design) software to automatically read CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and generate G code programs to control the numerical control machine tool.
