Why do the dimensions and shapes of precision stamped parts fail when they are bent?
1. The rebound of the material causes the product to fail.
Measures to reduce rebound:
Stamping materials with large elastic modulus and small mechanical properties are selected.
Increase the proofreading process, choose proofreading bending instead of free bending;
The material should be annealed before bending, so that the cold work hardening material is pre-softened and then bent into shape;
If the shape deformation occurs during the stamping process of precision stamping parts and is difficult to eliminate, the slope of the punch and concave dies should be replaced or trimmed, and the gap between the punch and concave dies should be equal to the minimum material thickness.
Increase the contact area between the die and the workpiece and decrease the contact area between the punch and the workpiece.
Adopt "overcorrection" methods to reduce the impact of rebound.
2. The positioner is worn and deformed, causing the strip to be inaccurately positioned. A new positioner must be replaced.
3. In an unguided bending die, when adjusting on the press, improper adjustment of the lower dead center position of the press slider can also result in substandard shapes and dimensions of precision stamping parts.
4. If the die‘s pressing equipment malfunctions or does not produce a pressing effect at all, the pressing force must be readjusted or the pressure spring replaced to ensure normal operation.
