The appearance of burrs on Metal Stamping parts is a common quality defect in the production process. The phenomenon of burrs on metal stamping parts can cause wear and tear on the mold, greatly reducing the service life and accuracy of the metal stamping parts, lowering production efficiency, and increasing the number of mold repairs and downtime.
The phenomenon of burrs on metal stamping parts is caused by adhesion (biting) between the workpiece and the outer surface of the mold. There are many methods to improve the problem of burrs, such as the following:
1. Improve the material of metal stamping parts molds and add mold hardness;
2. Treat the surface of the mold, such as hard chrome plating, PVD, and TD;
3. Coating the mold cavity with nano coatings, such as RNT technology;
4. Add a layer of other material between the mold and the processed part to separate them from the mold, such as applying a smooth or special smoothing agent or adding a layer of PVC material;
5. Use self-lubricating coated steel plates.
